Sumner Regional Medical Center wanted to expand their state of the art emergency services to a satellite facility to reach more residents of Sumner County. The facility was constructed within an existing gym space at the Sumner Station Outpatient Medical Complex. The two-story space was able to accommodate the Emergency Department on the first floor, as well as a second floor containing expanded physician services. Both the design and the construction of this project were completed within a very challenging timeline in order to meet the client’s deadline for opening the facility. HMKA successfully led this exceptional team effort between the owner, architect, and contractor to bring this project from concept to reality.
