The new outpatient imaging center at St. Francis Hospital – Bartlett was constructed in an existing medical office building with many off angles and profiles. The resulting space configuration embraced these conditions to create a functional floor plan and interesting geometry. The new imaging center included spaces for an MRI, a CT, an X-ray room, ultrasound, and mammography. The modalities were designed around a central core of patient changing rooms. The changing rooms were positioned under a central skylight and windows into the surrounding hallway from the core allow light to the entire central corridor system.
