The small town of Holdredge needed to upgrade its medical facility. HMKA’s solution addressed not only space issues, but also the primary circulation of building. The design created a new main entrance and admitting area on the opposite side of the building from the existing entrance, which created a more logical patient flow and better access to new outpatient service areas. The addition included a new Radiology Department, along with a renovation of the Outpatient Clinic. The design of the new addition continues the limestone bands and window surrounds of the existing building, and the entrance canopy uses the same arched limestone form as the other canopies on the building. The new addition blends into the existing facility, while creating a focal point at the new main entrance.
